Mrs O’Toole found this brilliant blog online.

She says:

‘I have been listening and joining in with with Pie Corbett and the team. It is a great show to engage children with reading and writing activities. There are short starters and then a variety of tasks, poetry, fiction and non-fiction. There are also extension tasks…Really interactive - keeps Alex busy for an hour!’

The Daily Blog starts at 9.30am (just enough time to recover from Joe Wickes PE!).

As well as the daily Blogs there is a range of texts read out by Pie Corbett – a specialist in children’s writing.  The texts he reads are very easy and engaging for your children to have a go at such as:

  • I Can See
  • The Dragon Says
  • 16 Things to put in a Hobbit’s Knapsack
  • City Jungle
  • Barry the Hedgehog

The children can listen to Pie read, then change his ideas slightly to create funny and exciting pieces of writing which we would love to see on our Facebook page.
